because of private reasons I have to announce that the silvertunnel.org project will not be developed further. The web site and the code will remain available but version 0.15-beta is the final release.
I thank all customers and all volunteers that supported the project in the past years!
It would be great if some developers fork silvertunnel.org source code and start further developments with new energy. You can use this forum to arrange a new project.
With best regards,
Christian Hapke
Founder of silvertunnel.org

If a big donation would change your mind please tell us, sorry if money isn't the deal but maybe that's the problem, it's a shame if this project won't have a future, it has good code and documentation, a lot of good work, personally I think the marketing should be different as being vs. torbrowser is not wise, many alternatives like tools to automate onion publishing, creating private sharing networks, a torchat with plugins and other protocols etc, I would love to be a java guru and help this project but I'm not good at it and would like to help by other means, there isn't a long way for this project to make a long run, onion fix and a better api would do,
thanks for all you and the team had done

Are you still looking for people to work on a tor project. I am Java guru and I would be willing to work fulltime on java library for tor if I have enough donation to ensure a decent living. You can contact me at cote at computer dot org.

It seems that JTor had an update 19 days ago: https://github.com/brl/JTor
I remember silvertunnel was based on onioncoffee and maybe jtor, aside, I think projects should go together as they have the same codebase, but silvertunnel wins hands down with documentation and testing, can't you contact him to see if he's interested in developing?

i've forked the silvertunnel source code and fixed some of the issues with the new Tor protocol.
For now most of the stuff is working again. (sometimes the hidden service server part is not working properly, I'm still investigating this issue)
You can find the new project also on Sourceforge : SilverTunnel-NG

Hi,
I suggest you change the website to clearly indicate that the project is dead.
